The D.A.P.S. Mentoring Program is a comprehensive, strengths-based initiative designed to empower and support youth who experience vulnerability or marginalization due to social, developmental, behavioral, or environmental differences. The program intentionally affirms each participant’s inherent value while providing structured mentoring, life-skills development, and leadership formation to cultivate confidence, resilience, and long-term personal and academic success.

Is it reasonable to expect our children to become something other than who they truly are? Why should they not be allowed to live "unapologetically themselves?" The emotional weight of suppressing one’s authentic identity can be overwhelming, and it is often this unresolved strain that leads many young people to be labeled as “at risk.”

Unapologetic is not about settling for mere tolerance or being content with reluctant acceptance. It is the expectation—and the standard—of full, unconditional celebration of who one is.

We owe our young people more than good intentions—we owe them preparation, protection, and purpose in a world filled with real challenges. Our work ensures they are not merely surviving adversity but are positioned to rise above it. Through intentional guidance, we provide encouragement that strengthens confidence, empowerment that builds capacity, and clearly defined goals that create a pathway to sustainable success.
